Job Description

A progressive and growth-oriented grain and agribusiness operation is seeking a Director of Grain Sales & Marketing to lead its commercial efforts. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape and drive the company’s sales strategy while fostering a strong team culture and expanding market share. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in grain commodity trading, leadership, and strategic client engagement. This is a remote role with frequent travel throughout the region.


Director of Grain Sales & Marketing Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a results-driven sales strategy aligned with business goals

  • Foster and manage relationships with key clients and industry partners

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team

  • Collaborate with internal teams across logistics, operations, and finance

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in grain marketing and logistics

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity

  • Prepare detailed sales reports and revenue forecasts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Logistics, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 3–5 years in a sales leadership role, ideally within agriculture or supply chain/logistics

  • Grain commodity trading and basis trading experience required

  • Familiarity with AGRIS or other ag-specific systems is a plus

  • Proven success in business development and team leadership

Job Setting & Travel Requirements:

  • Remote-based with frequent regional travel to client sites and industry events

  • Flexibility in work hours to support customer needs

  • Environments range from office settings to agricultural operations, including grain facilities

  • Must be comfortable climbing bins, traveling by car regularly, and lifting up to 30 lbs
