Position Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team in Grand Junction, Colorado. This is a hands-on position focused on the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates looking to move to the beautiful Western Slope of Colorado.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and assemble a variety of fire sprinkler system types including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and fire protection layouts
  • Cut, thread, and groove pipe using industry-standard tools and techniques
  • Perform repairs, modifications, and maintenance on existing fire sprinkler systems
  • Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on-site
  • Ensure all work is compliant with NFPA codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards
  • Maintain tools and equipment and ensure job site cleanliness and organization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fire sprinkler fitter
  • Familiarity with NFPA 13 and related fire protection codes
  • Ability to work at heights, use lifts, and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong understanding of pipefitting tools, measurements, and fabrication techniques
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman certification or union affiliation a plus
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • Experience with both new construction and retrofit projects
