CAPEX Engineer – Full-Time

Location: Tennessee Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial / Engineering Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift

🏗️ Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) Engineer to manage and oversee capital improvement projects within our manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on evaluating, planning, and executing capital projects to improve plant efficiency, equipment reliability, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate combines engineering expertise, project management skills, and financial insight to ensure successful project delivery.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, and manage capital expenditure projects from conception through completion
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and finance teams to identify improvement opportunities
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments for proposed projects
  • Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment and systems
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for management review
  • Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve project-related technical issues

📘 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering with exposure to capital projects
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning for capital projects
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, plant equipment, and automation systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and project management software
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards
