Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and seasoned Labor Relations Attorney with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field to lead complex labor-related matters, advise clients on labor law compliance, and represent clients in various legal proceedings. As a Partner-level attorney, you will play a crucial role in expanding our practice, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on a wide range of labor relations matters, including union negotiations, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, and labor dispute resolution.
- Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including unfair labor practice charges, arbitration proceedings, and administrative hearings.
- Advise clients on labor law compliance, including wage and hour issues, workplace policies, and labor standards.
- Manage and grow a diverse client portfolio, building long-term relationships and developing new business opportunities.
- Lead and collaborate with other attorneys in the firm, offering mentorship and leadership within the labor and employment practice group.
- Stay current on developments in labor law, ensuring clients receive up-to-date and relevant legal advice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed in Wisconsin
- 10+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a significant focus on labor relations.
- Proven track record of success in representing clients in labor-related matters, including union negotiations, collective bargaining, and litigation.
- Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Wisconsin labor laws.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships and business development skills.
- Leadership experience and the ability to manage, mentor, and support junior attorneys.
