Steel Detailing – Miscellaneous Metals
A leading steel fabricator known for delivering some of the most recognizable projects in the region is seeking a Miscellaneous Metals Detailer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship, with a strong understanding of how architectural metals come together in the field.
As a Misc. Metals Detailer, you’ll play a key role in turning design concepts into accurate shop and erection drawings for fabrication and installation. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and shop personnel to ensure each project meets quality standards, stays on schedule, and runs smoothly from start to finish.
Prepare accurate and detailed shop and erection drawings for miscellaneous metals, including stairs, railings, ladders, and other custom components.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify design intent and resolve drawing issues.
Review drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Support fabrication and field teams by providing clear, detailed drawings and timely updates.
Maintain organized project files and manage revisions efficiently.
3+ years of experience in miscellaneous or structural steel detailing.
Proficiency with detailing software such SDS/2, and AdvancedSteel.
Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection practices.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and time management skills.
Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 (DOE)
Work Schedule: Onsite
