Key Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple audit engagements from planning to final reporting
Manage and mentor staff and senior auditors, promoting growth and efficiency
Communicate with clients, address technical accounting issues, and provide proactive guidance
Review workpapers, financial statements, and audit findings
Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm procedures
Participate in strategic planning for the audit department
Contribute to internal training, quality control, and process development
Manage engagement budgets and timelines effectively
Qualifications:
CPA required
6+ years of recent public accounting experience in audit
Prior experience managing staff and audit engagements
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Experience with a variety of industries; HUD or governmental audit experience a plus
Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office
