Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in our memory care unit. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in memory care and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to residents with cognitive impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the memory care unit
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to nursing and memory care
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and well-being, making necessary adjustments to care plans
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure holistic care for residents
  • Manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
  • Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff on memory care best practices
  • Monitor and manage the budget for the nursing department
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for residents, families, and staff

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in memory care
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to memory care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
