Production Manager – Custom Signage

Are you an experienced production leader with a strong background in signage and a knack for managing people and processes? We’re working with a well-respected, fast-growing sign company that’s seeking a Production Manager to oversee its daily shop operations and lead a talented production team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end production workflow—from file setup and fabrication through final installation

  • Operate and maintain wide-format printers, vinyl plotters, laminators, and related equipment

  • Oversee CNC routing and custom metal fabrication projects

  • Monitor job timelines, prioritize workloads, and ensure deadlines are consistently met

  • Maintain inventory levels, coordinate material ordering, and streamline production scheduling

  • Supervise and support a team of 5+ shop staff, offering coaching, training, and accountability

  • Identify and resolve production challenges while implementing process improvements

  • Enforce safety standards and uphold high-quality output across all projects

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a signage or custom fabrication environment, preferably in a leadership role

  • Deep knowledge of signage production methods including vinyl application, ADA signage, dimensional lettering, and illuminated signs

  • Familiarity with sign-making materials like vinyl, acrylic, aluminum, substrates, and adhesives

  • Comfortable with basic office tech and industry software (experience with RIP software or design programs is a plus)

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams in a deadline-driven environment

  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a solutions-focused mindset
