Job Description

Title Attorney – Oil & Gas 
Location: Texas (multiple offices statewide)

A highly respected and well-established energy-focused law firm is seeking three experienced Title Attorneys for growing offices throughout Texas. This is a strong opportunity to work on high-level oil and gas title matters with a collaborative and well-established legal group.

About the Role:
The ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of independently handling complex title opinions. The firm values technical precision, clear communication, and a proactive approach to legal problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft original, supplemental, and division order title opinions

  • Conduct thorough title examinations in Texas and other producing states

  • Advise clients on mineral ownership, leasehold rights, and curative actions

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, landmen, and clients

  • Stay informed on oil and gas law developments in Texas and relevant jurisdictions

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Active license to practice law in Texas

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing oil and gas title opinions

  • Strong knowledge of Texas oil and gas title law

  • Ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively

  • Solid writing, research, and communication skills

  • Experience with drilling and division order opinions preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $115,000 – $225,000, depending on experience
