Job Opportunity: Real Estate Attorney – Pittsburgh, PA

Seeking a highly motivated and industrious attorney to join our dynamic Real Estate Legal Practice Group in the Pittsburgh office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating complex documents for leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and property development.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, partnership agreements, joint venture agreements, and entity governance documents.
  • Review and analyze title abstracts, insurance commitments, policies, property surveys, deeds, and engineering reports.
  • Conduct legal research and provide effective solutions for a range of real estate issues.
  • Represent clients in zoning reviews and approval processes.
  • Handle real estate tax appeal matters and litigation support for real estate-related disputes.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Stay current on real estate laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence, title examinations, and other real estate-related legal matters.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of substantive experience in transactional real estate law.
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent organizational, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge and experience with:
    • Land use and planning matters.
    • Real estate tax matters, including tax appeal challenges.
    • Construction delivery systems and project agreements.
    • Title underwriting processes.
