Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join a dynamic, collaborative team in New York City. This unique role combines the advantages of a law firm environment with in-house-style client collaboration, providing exposure to sophisticated, high-value transactions.

Responsibilities

• Handle purchases and sales of multifamily apartment communities
• Manage closings for financings and refinancings, including agency, bank, CMBS, and private capital transactions
• Draft and negotiate joint venture agreements and related legal documents
• Review and analyze title reports, surveys, and other due diligence materials
• Advise clients on ownership, financing, and partnership structures
• Collaborate daily with clients and team members to structure deals effectively

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active New York Bar membership (or ability to waive in)
• Minimum 5+ years of substantive commercial real estate transactional experience
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters with attention to detail
