Associate Attorney – Employment Law (San Diego)

A mid-sized law firm, consistently ranked a Best Place to Work for the past decade, seeks an experienced litigation associate to join its class action practice group in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of employment litigation experience, with a focus on defending wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims. This role offers mentorship from partners and the opportunity to handle class action lawsuits from inception to resolution. This flexible hybrid position allows two remote workdays per week. Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of class action litigation, including research, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial representation.
  • Develop case strategies, advise clients, and argue motions in court.
  • Draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management.

Qualifications

  • Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active bar membership in California.
  • Proficiency in iManage and Coyote Analytics preferred.
  • 1850 billable hours requirement.
