Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with 8+ years of structural engineering experience, specializing in transportation infrastructure design, including bridges, roadways, and rail structures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, management, and execution of transportation projects, including bridges, retaining walls, foundations, and culverts.
  • Serve as the senior project engineer and primary client contact, actively participating in meetings, public presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct site inspections to ensure project compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and contribute to scoping and marketing strategies.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional development and team growth.
  • Utilize structural analysis and design software to develop project documents and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to AASHTO standards and procedures in design and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering (with an emphasis on bridge and structural design).
  • 8+ years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required in Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with AASHTO standards and procedures.
  • Previous experience designing bridges in Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in structural design software (such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
