REMOTE FREIGHT BROKER/SALES EXECUTIVE
Our client is a leading logistics company specializing in connecting businesses with reliable transportation solutions. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Transportation Freight Broker/Sales Executive to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate Freight Rates: Source, negotiate, and secure transportation agreements with carriers for shipments.
- Develop Relationships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with carriers and clients.
- Manage Shipments: Oversee the entire lifecycle of freight shipments, from initial order to final delivery.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to shipments, including delays or damage.
- Market Research: Keep track of market trends, supply chain challenges, and industry changes to ensure competitive pricing and service offerings.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all freight transactions and documentation comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service to both clients and carriers, ensuring smooth communications and support
Requirements:
- Proven experience in transportation brokerage or logistics, preferably in freight brokering.
- Strong knowledge of the freight industry, including transportation modes, rates, and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote work environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in logistics software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet in a fast-paced setting.
- High School diploma or equivalent required;relevant certifications or degree in logistics, business, or a related field is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working remotely in a similar role.
- Existing relationships with a network of reliable carriers.
- Familiarity with freight management software (e.g., TMS, CRM, etc.).
