Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist specializing in Addictions to join our dedicated mental health team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for adults suffering from addiction, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions (such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc.).
- Administer medication management and psychopharmacological interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, counselors, and social workers, to ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Participate in case management and treatment planning meetings.
- Stay current with best practices and the latest research in addiction psychiatry.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Specialized training or experience in addiction psychiatry.
- Strong experience working with adults, especially in addiction recovery.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for helping individuals on their recovery journey.
