An established agricultural retailer in southeast Indiana is hiring a Custom Applicator to join its operations team. If you've grown up around farm equipment and like being outside in the seat, this is a steady, hands-on role with a team that will train you and help you get licensed.
What you'll do
- Operate self-propelled sprayers and dry fertilizer spreaders to apply crop protection products and fertilizer for area growers
- Follow application maps and work orders accurately, and keep application records
- Load, mix, and handle products safely according to label and company procedures
- Do daily equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Help with seasonal warehouse, delivery, and yard work as needed
What you bring
- Farm or ag experience, with time running self-propelled sprayers, spreaders, or other large equipment
- Prior custom application work at an ag retailer or co-op is a big plus
- An Indiana pesticide applicator license is a plus, or a willingness to get one (training provided)
- A valid driver's license with a clean record (CDL is a plus)
- Willingness to work extended hours during spring and fall seasons
What's offered
- Up to $21/hr DOE, plus seasonal overtime
- Up to $0.50/acre bonus
