Business  - Finance Manager

Job description:

An architecture, interior design, graphics and landscape design firm, has an immediate opening for a Business and Finance Manager with 8+ years of experience. Prior experience in a professional service environment is required.  Experience in a design firm is considered a significant plus.

Opportunity for you to shape and grow a financial and accounting support team through a collaborative approach to working with all levels of Accounting, HR, Senior Management, and Project Managers.

Core Responsibilities -  Everyday tasks the manager will be expected to perform well.

• Supervising accounting, administrative and HR staff
• Reviewing and coordinating work schedules and organizing training
• Ensuring compliance with government regulations
• Implementing procedures to improve profitability
• Responding to all required audits from insurance carriers
• Coordinating with HR on all required government filings
• Preparing annual corporate insurance reviews and renewals
• Working with accounting to prepare accounting monthly closes
• Working with accounting to prepare quarterly break-even analysis
• Working with accounting to complete annual audits

Required Qualifications -  Key required and necessary skills include:

• Financial literacy
• Critical thinking and problem-solving
• Leadership and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability
• Accounting background with a CPA preferred
• Experience in a professional service environment
• Experience with a cloud-based software package:  Deltek Vision is a plus
• Accounting experience in a medium-sized organization
  • Candidates must have been involved in monthly operational and financial closings.
  • Candidates must understand all aspects of accounting data
  • Candidates must be able to think outside the box
• A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
