Operations Manager

A well-respected feed manufacturing Company in Pennsylvania is confidentially seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily production activities and lead a high-performing team. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in process-driven feed manufacturing environments. The right candidate will bring a combination of technical mill expertise, people leadership, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all day-to-day production operations within the facility

  • Oversee quality, safety, maintenance, inventory flow, and operating performance

  • Lead and mentor production staff with a focus on accountability, teamwork, and safety

  • Manage operational metrics, cost control, and budgetary performance

  • Develop, update, and implement SOPs and operational best practices

  • Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives

  • Coordinate with maintenance and leadership teams on capital projects

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and internal standards

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, processing, or production operations

  • Prior leadership experience (supervisor or manager level) is highly preferred

  • Strong understanding of production workflows, safety programs, and quality systems

  • Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and resolve operational challenges

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required

  • Ability to relocate or commute to the facility as needed
