Job Description

Gpac is working with a long-standing agronomy retailer in Indiana looking to hire an Agronomy Operations Manager. This position will lead daily operations, including facility operations, inventory, equipment, logistics of daily applications, drivers, and support staff. The manager ensures efficient workflow, strong customer service, safety compliance, and alignment of operational activities with sales goals.
 

Ideal candidates bring strong operations and people-management experience, with agronomy knowledge preferred. Must be able to lead, coach, plan strategically, and maintain high safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, equipment, and inventory management (fertilizer and chemicals)
  • Support customer service and resolve issues professionally

  • Manage seasonal inventory planning and product movement

  • Ensure equipment maintenance and facility upkeep

  • Coordinate logistics and collaborate across departments

  • Lead and develop staff; delegate effectively

  • Maintain safety compliance and assist with incident review

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Operations management experience (5+ years)
  • Agriculture/agronomy background preferred

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to manage customer and vendor relationships,

  • Mechanical/equipment familiarity

  • Valid driver’s license, and willingness to obtain a Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.
