Construction Law Attorney | Jacksonville, FL

A well-established Florida law firm is seeking a mid-level Construction Attorney with 3+ years of experience in construction defect, commercial litigation, and/or general liability defense to join its Jacksonville office. This is an excellent opportunity to handle sophisticated construction-related matters within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Represent developers, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in construction defect, delay, lien, and contract disputes.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and related project agreements.
  • Manage all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Advise clients on risk management, compliance, and claims prevention.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategy and ensure timely, cost-effective resolutions.
 

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction law, commercial litigation, or insurance defense.
  • Solid knowledge of Chapter 558, lien law, and construction defect litigation.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism.
