We’re looking for a driven Sign Shop General Manager with 5+ year of experience of progressive leadership experience in sign manufacturing industry. The Sign Shop General Manager will oversee all aspects of the wholesale manufacturing facility, including production, operations, sales support, and team leadership. The Sign Shop General Manager needs to be hands-on leader with deep knowledge of sign manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and customer-focused solutions.
Sign Shop General Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all operations within the facility.
- Oversee production scheduling, quality control, and workflow efficiency.
- Manage and mentor department leads in fabrication, logistics, sales support, and administration.
- Develop and track KPIs for production output, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Partner with the ownership team to set annual business goals and budgets.
- Maintain strong vendors and suppliers to optimize materials procurement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to scale operations with company growth.
Sign Shop General Manager Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in sign manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of wholesale/trade sign production methods (channel letters, cabinets, CNC routing, printing, painting, accu-bender, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead with a hands-on approach and willingness to step into production as needed.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software is strongly preferred.
