Director of Maintenance in Indianapolis

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• The Director of Maintenance will have a broad knowledge and through understanding of the aviation industry and the FAA regulations; ensure compliance with FAR/FAA Part 145 air carrier certificates, company policies, and federal regulations. The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department.

• Coperate jet/ biuisness jet experience preferred
• Review and assess project work scopes to assist in part procurement
• Aircraft management, Teambuilding, Supervision
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders or reports
• Maintain clean work area
• Staff Development and Training Technical Support 
• Project Management to include Gantt Charts/IMS (or applicable scheduling software) and Change Order Documents as required to maintain schedule
• Ability to Inspect aircraft, wiring installations, assemblies and circuits
• Ability to Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment is a plus
• Ability and knowledge to perform avionic system installations/modifications and train others
• Able to Troubleshoot and Correct defects in accordance with established processes

Skills & Abilities:

• A&P license preferred but not required
• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required; some college or degree in management is preferred.
• Experience: minimum of 4-6 years of coperate/buisness jet expeinence 
• Certifications/Licenses: IA preferred but not required
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills using Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Word required; Project management software preferred.
