Senior Project Manager / Project Executive – Structural Steel
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Executive to oversee large-scale structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from preconstruction through completion. This is a senior leadership position responsible for project strategy, financial performance, client relationships, and overall execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level oversight of multiple structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects.
- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.
- Develop project execution strategies, schedules, staffing plans, and workflows.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost control, change orders, and profitability.
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, procurement, and field operations.
- Monitor project schedules, fabrication progress, material procurement, and overall production.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, delays, and operational challenges.
- Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
- Oversee QA/QC, project documentation, and final project closeout.
- Provide executive-level reporting and updates on project performance.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction management experience
- Significant experience with structural steel, steel erection, miscellaneous metals, or heavy industrial construction
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and risk management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar software preferred
- AISC/AWS knowledge preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
