Job Description

HVAC BIM DESIGNER – SAN RAFAEL, CA

With over 90 years’ experience providing energy efficient services for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in Florida, they need a HVAC BIM Designer to join the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models of HVAC systems using Revit, SysQue, and Navisworks software
• Coordinate and integrate models from different trades to resolve conflicts prior to construction installation
• Attend and actively participate in project BIM meetings
• Maintain up-to-date models and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts in collaboration with the design team
• Ensure models comply with industry standards and project specifications
• Provide technical support for existing projects and field service
• Prepare detailed field installation drawings and fabrication drawings
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements
• Develop mechanical construction models in REVIT
• Ensure model meets expectations stated in the project BIM Execution Plan
• Assist engineering, pre-con, construction, retrofit, and project teams as needed
• Assist Engineering/Pre-Con Manager as needed
• Occasionally, travel to other office sites and job sites as needed
• Attend turnover meetings, other construction meetings, or BIM related meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • • Ability to work in office daily to collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and coordination
    • Bachelor's degree in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in 3D modeling of HVAC pipe and duct systems (chilled/condenser water systems) or related field experience
    • Proficiency in Revit, SysQue, and Navisworks software preferred
    • Knowledge of HVAC systems and Florida mechanical codes
    • Autodesk certification for Revit preferred
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet simultaneous deadlines
