Job Description

We are seeking, on behalf of a reputable client, a Civil Project Engineer with a strong background in bridge design, construction, and rehabilitation to join our growing infrastructure team. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and brings deep expertise in bridgework to support the planning and execution of major civil projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the design, analysis, and construction management of bridge projects (steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures).

  • Prepare and review project documentation, including plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor bridge construction progress and ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, surveyors, and DOT representatives.

  • Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management for civil infrastructure and bridge-related tasks.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.

  • Coordinate with local and state agencies for project approvals and permitting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering with a strong emphasis on bridgework (design and/or construction).

  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, STAAD, SAP2000, or similar.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
