Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Masonry Project Manager with at least 2+ years of experience managing masonry scopes on large-scale commercial or institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in coordinating field operations, budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, and will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of masonry components from pre-construction through closeout.

Proficiency with Bluebeam Software is required for document review and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules specific to masonry scopes, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.
  • Field Oversight: Supervise masonry field operations, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Monitor budgets and costs for the masonry portion of the project; manage change orders and track financial impacts.
  • Subcontractor Management: Lead pre-construction meetings, manage daily interactions with masonry subcontractors, and ensure timely execution of work.
  • Document Control: Utilize Bluebeam to review drawings, perform markups, track RFIs and submittals, and manage project documentation efficiently.
  • Procurement Support: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address field issues proactively, providing practical solutions to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the point of contact for clients on masonry-specific scopes, providing updates, reports, and addressing any concerns.
  • Closeout Process: Ensure a smooth project closeout, including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager (or Assistant PM) in masonry on commercial or institutional projects.
  • Strong understanding of masonry construction techniques, building codes, and materials.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam for document review and coordination is a must.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • OSHA certification and knowledge of safety practices are a plus.
