Job Posting: Safety Officer – Commercial Drywall Construction
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (40–45 hours/week)
Salary: $55,000–$80,000 (Based on experience & insurance qualifications)


About the Role:
We’re seeking a Safety Officer to join our growing commercial drywall construction team. This role is critical in ensuring jobsite safety, compliance with OSHA and company standards, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all projects. The right candidate will bring hands-on field experience, strong communication skills, and a dedication to workplace safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure safety compliance

  • Lead safety orientations and training sessions for field personnel

  • Develop, implement, and enforce jobsite-specific safety plans

  • Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare detailed reports

  • Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and ensure OSHA compliance

  • Serve as the point of contact for all safety-related matters across projects

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a construction safety role (drywall or interiors experience preferred)

  • OSHA 30 certification required (additional safety certifications a plus)

  • Knowledge of federal and local safety regulations

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management systems

  • Valid driver’s license


Compensation & Hours:

  • Annual Salary: $55,000–$80,000 (DOE & Insurance Requirements)

  • Insurance: Single or family coverage through Harvard Pilgrim at no cost to the employee

  • Work Hours:

    • 40–45 hours/week (Monday–Friday included in salary)

    • 45+ hours/week: Overtime pay

    • Saturday work (when required): Always paid OT

  • Annual performance and wage reviews

  • 401(k): 3% employer contribution (regardless of employee contribution) – kicks in after 1 year

  • Profit Sharing: Discretionary up to 5%

  • Paid Vacation (Tiered):

    • 1 week after 6 months

    • 2 weeks after 1 year

    • 3 weeks after 3 years

    • 4 weeks after 5 years (Cap)
