Mechanical Engineer

Gpac is proud to partner with a global leader in agricultural processing operations, seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will create detailed engineering diagrams for machinery, mechanical systems, and manufactured products. Your expertise will ensure precision, efficiency, and innovation in the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, tools, and controls using AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize designs and resolve system or component challenges.
  • Analyze blueprints, sketches, and technical data to refine designs for manufacturability and efficiency.
  • Utilize CAD tools and mathematical formulas to ensure precise specifications.
  • Integrate feedback and revisions to enhance operational performance and address production challenges.
  • Generate schematic, orthographic, and angle views to illustrate system functionality and component relationships.
  • Create technical illustrations for manuals detailing equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Verify material dimensions and assign identification numbers for seamless production tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in drafting, design, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical drafting and design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with 3D SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Strong background in metal fabrication, material handling equipment, and grain systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
