Job Description

We are partnered with a leading fire & life safety company serving clients across Iowa. They specialize in providing reliable fire alarm installation, inspection, testing, service, and maintenance solutions that keep people and property safe. They are ready for a motivated, detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to join their team.

Fire Alarm Technician Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair fire alarm systems and related equipment.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance per NFPA standards and state requirements.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Complete accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Fire Alarm Technician Requirements:

  • Must be certified and licensed to work on fire alarm systems in the State of Iowa.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with fire alarm systems and security systems
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and state/local regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
