BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – GOVERNMENT SUPPLY CHAIN

Our client company is a dynamic and forward-thinking company specializing in humanitarian relief. We are looking to expand our business development team and are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to help grow our presence in government-backed supply chains.
Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying, pursuing, and securing opportunities within both US government and non-US government supply chains, including NGOs. This position is ideal for a candidate with experience in navigating governmental procurement processes and working with public sector entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Management: Establish relationships with Government backed supply chains through US Gov or non-US Gov or their NGOs
- Lead Generation: Identify and target government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations for potential supply chain partnerships.
- Government Procurement: Develop and implement strategies to pursue government contracts through various channels, including US Government, Non-US Governments, and their respective NGOs.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in governmental organizations, NGOs, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Bid Management: Prepare and submit proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed on upcoming government projects, trends, and new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, compliance, and legal, to ensure the successful execution of government-backed supply chain projects.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track sales performance, monitor progress on leads, and report on results to senior management.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, with a strong focus on government-backed supply chains, procurement, and working with NGOs.
- In-depth understanding of governmental purchasing processes, including US and international tendering.
- Familiarity with global supply chain management in public sector settings.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, International Relations, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience working directly with US Government entities (e.g., GSA, DLA, etc.) and international procurement systems.
- Familiarity with navigating non-US government supply chains
- Knowledge of the humanitarian aid sector and experience working with NGOs.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations
