Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney – Fort Lauderdale

A respected defense firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to defend healthcare professionals and institutions in complex medical malpractice cases. Whether you're a recent law school graduate with Bar admission or an attorney with up to 4-5 years of experience, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the defense of medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies
• Provide risk management guidance to healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Litigation experience (preferred but not required)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
