We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Controller to oversee financial operations, reporting, and cost management for our manufacturing facility. This key leadership role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic guidance to support operational decision-making. Travel involved between both facilities
Key Responsibilities for Manufacturing Plant Controller
- Oversee all financial and accounting functions for the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Analyze plant performance, cost structures, and financial trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
- Partner with operations leadership to drive profitability and efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
- Manage inventory valuation, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and operational metrics.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff.
Qualifications & Skills for Manufacturing Plant Controller
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial management, or as an Assistant Controller.
- Manufacturing industry experience or relevant background working with manufacturing clients.
- Public accounting experience (audit) is a plus.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
