Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
Compensation: $28.72–$37.44/hour (DOE)

Overview
A respected, multi-office defense firm is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join its fully remote team. This role supports a group of attorneys with all aspects of case management—ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, paperless environment. The firm values efficiency, collaboration, and client service, and is seeking someone who is highly organized and solutions-focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents and correspondence for attorney review

  • Request, track, and organize medical records

  • E-file documents across applicable court systems (including Kansas City)

  • Maintain and organize case files in a digital environment

  • Conduct research and summarize case-related data

  • Prepare and organize discovery responses

  • Communicate with outside counsel, physicians, court personnel, and other external parties

  • Track and bill time contemporaneously

  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day case needs

  • Handle incoming calls, messages, and confidential information with discretion

  • Operate as a reliable, collaborative member of the legal team

  • Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 2- or 4-year degree, plus a minimum of 2 years of recent paralegal experience

  • Prior workers’ compensation experience strongly preferred

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent time management and follow-through skills
