Job Description

An excellent growing construction company is adding an AR/AP staff member.  This stable and growing company offers growth and great benefits.  Due to the recent growth of the company, there is an opportunity for an AP/AR staff member to join a team of highly motivated staff.

Position Responsibilities:

-Accounts Receivable

- Accounts Payable 

- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.

- Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.

- Collaborate with the team to analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvements.

Position Essential Job Functions:

- MUST know construction accounting.  

- Perform data entry and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial information.

- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve any accounting-related issues.

- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

- Stay updated on accounting regulations and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications Include:

  • - 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping role.

  • - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • - Must know construction accounting. 
  • - Proficiency in using QuickBooks. (Plexus knowledge helpful).

  • - Attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.

    - Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
  • High stress tolerance -- thrives in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, strong problem solving & prioritization skills


The position requires related experience working in external relationship management
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven individual, ability to work with minimal direction
