Job Description

An industry-leading manufacturer in the Boston Metro is looking to add a CNC Process Engineer to their team! 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine the best method which the product can be produced by existing manufacturing processes and methods.

  • Create, implement, and troubleshoot CNC programs for new parts start-ups using MasterCAM or Part Maker or alternate.

  • Determine feasibility of designing new tooling or equipment considering costs, time limitations and other technical and economic factors.

  • Provide technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.

  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Manufacturing Technology plus a minimum 5 years' of process engineering experience in a machine shop environment or at least 10 years of process engineering/programming experience in a machine shop environment.

  • Knowledge of MasterCAM or Part Maker or other CAM programming software.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and machine drawings.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and solve practical problems.
