Associate Attorney - (Toxic Torts Defense) Los Angeles, CA

The ideal candidate must be an active member of the California State Bar with at least two years of experience as a litigation attorney, preferably with a focus on asbestos defense. This position offers a remote work arrangement, with the requirement that candidates reside in Los Angeles and can attend monthly office meetings. Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preference for experience in civil litigation or toxic tort/asbestos defense.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to prioritize tasks and handle a significant caseload independently.
  • Ability to approach problems from innovative perspectives and devise unique solutions.
  • Proficiency in working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in billing is necessary.

Job Duties:

  • Managing cases from initial client contact through to trial, under the guidance of a supervising attorney.
  • Preparation and response to discovery requests.
  • Drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions.
  • Conducting percipient and expert depositions.
  • Providing trial preparation and support.
