Will and Estate Law Clerk

A respected and well-established Toronto law firm is seeking an experienced Wills and Estate Law Clerk to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented, organized, and client-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative legal environment and managing complex files with independence.
• Draft wills, powers of attorney, codicils, and estate planning documents
• Prepare probate and estate administration applications
• Manage estate files from initial consultation through final distribution
• Conduct title and asset searches, review financial documents, and assist with estate accounting
• Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties with professionalism and empathy
• Prepare reporting letters, correspondence, and document packages
• Maintain deadlines, manage file progress, and support lawyers with ongoing estate matters
• Handle both straightforward and complex estate files with minimal supervision
• Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Wills and Estate Law Clerk
• Strong knowledge of estate planning, probate, and estate administration procedures in Ontario
• Experience drafting estate documents and preparing court materials
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
• Proficient with estate software and document management systems (e.g., Estateably or similar)
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
