About the Opportunity

Our client is a respected marine and heavy civil contractor specializing in complex waterfront and infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and a strong project backlog, they are seeking an experienced Marine Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on marine and heavy civil construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience managing crews, equipment, subcontractors, and production activities on challenging marine construction projects.


Position Overview

The Marine Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with marine structures, bridge construction, pile driving operations, cofferdams, marine concrete, and other waterfront infrastructure projects.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field operations on marine and heavy civil construction projects.
  • Manage project schedules, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
  • Coordinate construction activities involving marine structures, bridges, pile driving, cofferdams, marine concrete, and related infrastructure.
  • Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project production, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Lead field crews and mentor foremen and craft personnel.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct safety meetings, site inspections, and production planning activities.
  • Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project progress and profitability.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience within marine or heavy civil construction.
  • Strong background in marine structures, bridges, pile driving, and cofferdam construction.
  • Experience managing self-perform crews and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Strong understanding of marine construction means and methods.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and project execution.
