Position: Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk
Location: Toronto, Ontario (In-office)
Experience Level: 3+ years
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 CAD (commensurate with experience)

We are currently working with a respected mid-sized law firm in Toronto that is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk to join its collaborative and high-performing team. The firm has a strong reputation for providing exceptional client service and handling a wide range of complex real estate transactions across the commercial, retail, and development sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, and review a variety of commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, title documents, and closing documentation.
• Conduct and review title searches, off-title searches, and due diligence reports.
• Manage the closing process for commercial transactions, including coordination with lenders, clients, and other law firms.
• Assist lawyers with file management, transaction timelines, and post-closing matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, financial institutions, and municipal offices.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with firm and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk in a law firm setting.
• Solid understanding of title searches, land registration systems, and real estate transaction procedures.
• Proficiency with Teraview, Conveyancer, and other real estate software.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple files and meet tight deadlines.
