Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team in Augusta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience and a strong background in project takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for commercial construction projects.
Review and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and contracts to determine scope and requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain pricing and ensure accurate estimates.
Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to create detailed estimates.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and discrepancies in project plans or bids.
Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
Maintain and update cost databases and historical project records.
Stay current on industry trends, pricing, and market conditions.
Qualifications:
2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Proficiency with estimating software (such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar).
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost structures.
Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
