Safety Coordinator – Demolition, Excavation & Site Work

Are you organized, proactive, and ready to make an impact on fast-paced construction projects? Our company, specializing in demolition, mass excavation, and site work, is seeking a Permit Expeditor / Safety Coordinator to manage project compliance, permits, and safety controls across our fleet and job sites. This role is key to keeping our projects on track, safe, and fully compliant.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review contracts and estimate permitting requirements for upcoming and active projects.

  • Obtain necessary permits, bonds, and fleet documentation accurately and on time.

  • Coordinate with Project Management and Accounting to maintain site safety and compliance.

  • Attend weekly team meetings to communicate permit status, project updates, and safety initiatives.

  • Prepare administrative and follow-up documentation, including inspections, material receipts, and incident reports.

  • Respond professionally to client emails and contract inquiries, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

  • Support pre-construction punch lists and daily project coordination efforts.

  • Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members while protecting confidential information.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Excel and strong written/verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of permits, code regulations, and construction processes is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Hands-on, collaborative, and safety-minded approach.
