We are working with a leading commercial general contractor specializing in diverse projects, including interiors, labs, infrastructure, and tenant improvements. We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with 5+ years of experience in commercial construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interiors, labs, infrastructure, and tenant improvement projects and be able to prepare accurate cost estimates, analyze project requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to identify scope and potential risks.
Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate project budgeting.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing.
Assist in value engineering efforts and cost-saving strategies.
Stay up to date with industry trends, material costs, and construction best practices.
5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction with a diverse background in interiors, labs, infrastructure, and tenant improvements.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and pricing.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage, or similar).
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
