Job Description

Location: Nashville, TN (territory-based)

We’re looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to develop and grow contractor and municipal accounts in the underground utility space. You will focus on water, sewer, and storm drainage systems - delivering tailored product solutions, technical support, and service excellence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and manage a sales territory covering civil contractors, site-developers, and municipalities.

  • Provide expert product consultation on waterworks solutions: PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, erosion control, manholes, valves, and more.

  • Collaborate with the HDPE Group to support fusion machine sales, training, and fusion installations. 

  • Help customers on specification, design, and product selection for complex “big pipe” projects. 

  • Deliver technical presentations, bid support, and take-offs to pre-construction and estimating teams.

  • Forecast and drive sales growth while building long-term customer relationships.

  • Coordinate internally with branch operations, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure fast delivery and project success.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years sales experience in waterworks, underground utilities, or civil infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of utility products and market trends (HDPE, PVC, manholes, fusion, etc.)

  • Proven success managing contractor and municipal accounts

  • Technical aptitude to deliver product training and design support

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to travel across your territory and commit to site visits

  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-driven
