                                                                                                                   Preconstruction Manager

A local, well established General Contractor is searching for a Preconstruction manager. This is an amazing opportunity for experienced professionals in the field who are seeking career growth and are passionate about the construction industry. As a Preconstruction Manager, you will play a vital role in project planning, cost estimation, budgeting, and resource allocation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Lead preconstruction efforts, including conceptual estimating, budgeting, and feasibility studies for commercial construction projects.

  • Budget Management: Develop detailed cost estimates, monitor budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.

  • Scheduling: Collaborate with project teams to create and refine project schedules during the preconstruction phase.

  • Subcontractor Management: Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids. Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal project teams to ensure alignment on project scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve preconstruction processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within the commercial construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricing.

  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
