We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Commercial Masonry Safety Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years post-secondary degree in related field/science(s) and experience with a focus on commercial masonry projects and possess fluency in both English and Spanish languages. As the Safety Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all safety-related aspects of our commercial masonry projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement safety programs and policies specific to commercial masonry projects.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on job sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide safety training to all employees, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, emphasizing best practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety on-site.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction safety.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries from project stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate safety protocols and expectations to all team members.
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring all personnel are trained and prepared to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace through regular inspections and risk assessments. Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction safety management, with a focus on commercial masonry projects.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate safety procedures and instructions to a diverse workforce.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards applicable to construction safety.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others to prioritize safety.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating safety risks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with safety management software preferred.
- Certification as an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer (OSHA 500) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed and work flexible hours to accommodate project schedules.
