Electrical Maintenance Repair Technician 

Overview:

The Electrical Maintenance Repair Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production operations by providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support. This position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and the capability to work independently in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing complex issues and implementing safe, effective solutions to maintain continuous production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize ammeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to test connections, trace circuits, and verify component compatibility and safety.
• Maintain and repair wiring, fuses, contactors, relays, and other essential manufacturing equipment components.
• Replace and install circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, and various electrical/electronic components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Respond promptly to facility emergencies and production equipment malfunctions.
• Perform equipment lockout procedures to ensure workplace safety.
• Analyze and troubleshoot PLC programs using a PC.
• Work with low-voltage systems, DC/AC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), encoders, and transducers.
• Read schematics and interpret ladder logic for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain electrical systems for the facility, including HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with Electronic Technicians and Electrical Engineers to resolve complex issues.
• Train junior team members to enhance departmental expertise.
• Complete additional maintenance tasks as assigned to support operational objectives.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical-mechanical issues.
• Initiative to take on new challenges and continuously develop technical skills.
• Adaptability to meet changing production demands.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Plex is a plus.
