Survey Layout Technician – Trimble Robotic Total Station

A commercial concrete contractor is seeking a layout technician who can independently perform foundation layout for commercial and industrial projects.

This role is ideal for someone with construction layout experience—not boundary surveying—who takes pride in accuracy and verification.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform high-accuracy construction layout using a Trimble robotic total station
• Layout building lines, grids, foundations, anchor bolts, embeds, elevations, and control points
• Verify dimensions, perform as-builts, and ensure quality control across projects
• Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to keep jobs moving efficiently
• Assist with .DWG files, layout prep, and point generation in the office
• Support estimating and project teams with takeoffs, coordination, and constructability input

What They’re Looking For:

• Experience with construction layout for commercial/industrial projects
• Proficiency using a Trimble robotic total station
• Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and plans
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD / .DWG workflows
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy (this role is critical to project success)
• Willingness to work both in the field and in the office as needed
