Job Description

Seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in insurance law who is looking to step into a role with meaningful responsibility, sophisticated work, and long-term growth potential.

Position Overview The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience handling insurance coverage matters, including coverage opinions, coverage litigation, and analyzing complex insurance policies across multiple lines. This attorney will work closely with partners and clients on a wide range of matters involving both first-party and third-party coverage issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret insurance policies, including CGL, professional liability, property, and specialty lines.

  • Draft coverage opinions, position letters, and related documentation.

  • Represent insurers in coverage and bad-faith litigation.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and recommendations.

  • Support partners and independently manage assigned matters.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • Minimum 5 years of insurance coverage experience (coverage litigation and/or analysis).

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple matters with strong attention to detail.

  • Missouri bar license required (Illinois license also preferred)
