Seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in insurance law who is looking to step into a role with meaningful responsibility, sophisticated work, and long-term growth potential.
Position Overview The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience handling insurance coverage matters, including coverage opinions, coverage litigation, and analyzing complex insurance policies across multiple lines. This attorney will work closely with partners and clients on a wide range of matters involving both first-party and third-party coverage issues.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret insurance policies, including CGL, professional liability, property, and specialty lines.
Draft coverage opinions, position letters, and related documentation.
Represent insurers in coverage and bad-faith litigation.
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and recommendations.
Support partners and independently manage assigned matters.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Minimum 5 years of insurance coverage experience (coverage litigation and/or analysis).
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters with strong attention to detail.
Missouri bar license required (Illinois license also preferred)
