We’re hiring a Commercial Credit Analyst to join a growing, high-performing commercial banking team. This mid-level role is ideal for someone who thrives on digging into the numbers, underwriting deals, and collaborating with relationship managers to evaluate risk and support portfolio growth. Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports for commercial loan requests.
Prepare financial spreads, covenant checks, and borrowing base calculations.
Underwrite new commercial loans and renewals across CRE, C&I, SBA, and owner-occupied portfolios.
Assist in preparing detailed credit memos and loan presentations for approval committees.
Monitor existing portfolios, including tickler management, annual reviews, and risk rating updates.
Evaluate collateral adequacy and structure deals in accordance with credit policy.
Collaborate with lenders, relationship managers, and portfolio managers to gather financial information and ensure high-quality underwriting.
Contribute to procedural improvements and policy enhancements when gaps are identified.
Mentor or provide guidance to junior credit analysts as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2–4+ years of experience in credit analysis or commercial underwriting.
Working knowledge of commercial lending, financial ratios, global cash flow, and credit policy.
Experience with credit analysis software such as Sageworks/Abrigo is preferred.
Familiarity with SBA (7a, 504) or other government loan programs is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment when working with sensitive information.
