Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Safety Director to oversee safety programs across steel construction projects involving cranes, lifting, and rigging operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing safety on similar projects, with a strong background in compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures

• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and training sessions

• Monitor compliance with OSHA and industry regulations

• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to promote a culture of safety

• Manage documentation related to safety programs and reports

• Travel throughout the state to oversee safety on various project sites (travel expenses and lodging covered by the company)

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience overseeing safety on steel construction projects involving cranes, lifting, and rigging

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Certified Safety and Health Technician (CHST), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) accreditation highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability and willingness to travel as required
